When a Snowflake account starts costing more than it should, or queries slow down as data grows, a developer who knows the platform can track down the cause. We’ll match you with one for your specific task and agree on the target number before work starts.
Each of these can be scoped as a single task with a measurable result.
Share the symptom, the warehouses or tables involved and the number you want to move. Our data team answers within a day.
You’ll talk to someone who has done this type of Snowflake work before, whether it’s tuning, Snowpark or access setup.
Together you fix the scope and a measurable goal, for example a dashboard that loads in under five seconds or a monthly credit budget.
The developer makes the changes, shows the before-and-after numbers and documents what changed.
Each query or warehouse change is reviewed for its credit impact before it goes live.
92% of our engineers are senior, and our Snowflake developers have tuned live production accounts.
Claude models are available in Snowflake Cortex AI, so AI features can run without data leaving your account. Our certified Claude architects can help your developer design them.
Our AI-assisted development cuts delivery time by up to 50%, and senior engineers sign off on each change.
ISO 27001-certified processes, with GDPR and HIPAA requirements reflected in roles and masking policies.
Every task closes with before-and-after figures for query time or credit use, so you see exactly what changed.
Share your top three warehouses by credits used, and we’ll tell you where a developer would look first.
They work inside your Snowflake account. Typical tasks include:
Because Snowflake bills compute by the second, they also watch how each change affects your monthly spend. A query that runs faster on a bigger warehouse isn’t always a win if it doubles the credits.
Most Snowflake developers come from SQL and data warehousing. The good ones also understand how the account is billed, and that’s what sets them apart from a general SQL developer.
Choose a broader profile when the job crosses many systems, such as several sources, orchestration and a second platform. In that case, you can hire data engineers.
A Snowflake developer is the better choice when almost all the work sits in one Snowflake account: tuning, access, cost, Snowpark code or models in Snowflake SQL.
Here’s a simple check. List the tools the task touches. If Snowflake is the only one that changes, hire a Snowflake developer. If Airflow, Kafka or another warehouse change too, a data engineer covers more ground.
It depends on how the account was set up. The most room is usually in accounts with always-on or oversized warehouses, or where dashboards and heavy transformations share one warehouse.
The usual places a developer looks first:
To see your starting point, sort warehouses by credits used last month and check their auto-suspend settings. Share that with us, and the developer will start there. The savings target is agreed before work starts and checked with before-and-after numbers.
If what’s left is a few procedures or pipelines, yes, one developer can finish it. They’ll rebuild the remaining logic in Snowflake SQL or Snowpark, run it next to the old system and compare the results before you switch over.
If whole systems still have to move, with reconciliation and a staged cutover, that’s a bigger job, and Snowflake migration services are set up for it.
Not sure how much is left? List the objects still on the old platform and the reports that depend on them. That’s usually enough to tell which case you’re in on the first call.
Start with the workloads you’ll run over the next year or two. SQL reporting with many users leans toward Snowflake, while ML, streaming and unstructured data lean toward Databricks. Our Databricks vs Snowflake guide compares the two in more detail.
You don’t have to make the call alone. Contact us with a short list of your data sources, main workloads and the people who’ll run the platform. Our data engineers will go through it with you and suggest which platform fits, and whether you need a Snowflake developer, a Databricks developer or both.
Yes, they can. If Snowflake work keeps coming after the first task, the developer can move into your team through data engineering staff augmentation.
From then on, your lead sets their priorities, and they work from your backlog like anyone else on the team. They already know your warehouses, roles and cost history, so nobody has to explain the account from scratch.
If the work slows down later, you can reduce hours or switch back to single tasks.
