The Journey Begins

We’ve turned 10 years old – it’s hard to believe! And although we can’t throw a big celebration just yet (we’ll save that for after the war is over), reflecting on our journey from the very beginning to where we are now is a heartwarming experience. It reminds us of the incredible hard work and the amazing people who have been part of our story.

Story Behind the Launch

It’s always fun to hear about the origins of a company, isn’t it? Our CEO and founder, Andrew Burak, has quite an interesting story himself. 

After completing his studies, Andrew faced a common struggle among fresh graduates: landing a job without experience. But instead of giving up, he embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and teamed up with a friend to create a business that offered opportunities to ambitious young people just like him. 

With a few computers and a lot of determination, Andrew and his partner Ihor Feoktistov set up a startup. Initially, they were developing software solutions for Ukrainian clients who needed websites and online stores. And just like that, our company was born.

The Beginning (2013-2014)

Our group of passionate individuals grew, forming the foundation of the company. It was time to leave the cozy apartment behind and open up our very first office. That same year, we were thrilled to land our first major client: an international company with an exciting project to create a freelancing exchange platform exclusively for SEO specialists. Slowly but surely, we were on our way to making our mark on the industry.

Expansion Time (2014-2022)

With our sails set, we embarked on a journey of expansion. We ventured into new markets, broadening our horizons and reaching new customers. Our team grew in size, and we continued to innovate, developing products and services that were designed to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clientele.

Our Biggest Challenge (2022)

In 2022, we faced one of our biggest challenges yet: the unexpected and large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia that threatened to derail our progress. But, instead of backing down, our team rallied together, drawing on our collective strength to overcome the challenge and come out stronger than ever.

Relevant stepped up to the plate to offer support for Ukraine, its brave defenders, and the people who were impacted by the war. With open hearts and generosity, we contributed over 2,000,000 UAH to help in various ways, including providing Starlink stations, drones, and computer equipment to aid in communication and logistics. And, of course, we didn’t forget about the humanitarian side of things, extending aid to those in need during this difficult time.

It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of coming together and supporting one another, even in the face of adversity. At Relevant, we’re committed to doing our part to make a positive difference in the world, no matter the circumstances. 💙💛

Ten years may seem like a long time (it’s a tenth of a lifetime for the fortunate ones), but when you think about enduring businesses, a decade is actually quite a short span. As we look forward, we’re more enthusiastic than ever about embracing the challenge to deliver ─ for our customers, our colleagues, and our communities.

Here are a few shining examples of our successful collaborations in recent years:

FirstHomeCoach 🏡 2018 – Ongoing

For FirstHomeCoach, a UK-based fintech company that simplifies the property-buying process, our team skillfully developed a custom algorithm and recommendation engine to create personalized property-buying plans. We also ensured a secure architecture for sensitive user data and provided white-label modules like mortgage calculators for partners. Ultimately, we successfully built the system and algorithms from scratch, always prioritizing user data security.

Norwegian 🛫- 2020 – Ongoing

This airline company teamed up with us to migrate two native mobile apps (iOS and Android) to React Native, reaping benefits such as a better user experience, seamless updates, a native-like feel and appearance, and improved performance. The migration allowed Norwegian to consolidate their engineering teams, saving costs and simplifying management.

Svenn ⚙️- 2016 – Ongoing

Svenn is a project management SaaS software designed for collaborating and tracking engineering operations. We developed their time management platform and mobile apps, helping Svenn capture a unique market niche and attract thousands of new customers from 45 countries. Since 2016, we’ve been maintaining the project’s codebase and introducing new features with every major release.

Splink Industries 🚗 – 2020 – Ongoing

Splink Industries enlisted our help to continue developing the My Theory Test by James May app, initially created by another company. Our team quickly tackled the challenge of refactoring the legacy code to kick off the project. In just 12 months, we scaled the existing paid product versions with a free Android app, redesigned and enhanced features in the paid iOS and Android versions, and now maintain all app versions.

Scriversi 📝-  2021- Ongoing

Our collaboration with Scriversi began with API integrations POC and evolved into full-cycle development. We developed a cloud-based documentation tool that enables users to create accounts, invite others, and manage permissions and edits without separating sensitive data. Our work with Scriversi laid the groundwork for the continued growth of their product.

These projects are just a few examples of the incredible work we’ve done over the past few years. But that’s not all; our client list is even more impressive, ranging from exciting startups to Fortune 500 companies. Our portfolio of clients includes some fantastic businesses like Optimum Pay Group, FISK, Sensor Innovation, Airthings, Superface.ai, and Kaizo. We’re incredibly proud to have formed partnerships with such a diverse and innovative group of companies.
