Sensor Innovation is a system that combines hardware sensor data with software algorithms to inform users about issues (such as water leaks) at industrial and residential sites. It also accounts for the influence of the weather on sensor data.

Our client already had a working product when they hired us. However, the existing version of Sensor Innovation required improvements. It needed a complete refit with a better UI and more functionality, including the ability to show data directly on a building’s virtual blueprint.
Project management is crucial for fixed-price projects such as Sensor Innovations. Our project managers used all the necessary classic and modern tools to track and avoid going over the budget.
Understanding clients' needs and having a project manager assigned for a project helped us find engineers who fit requirements in the shortest term. The project manager was also responsible for time tracking, reporting, and tasks management in JIRA.
We assembled a team consisting of a product manager and UI/UX designer, two back-end developers, and two front-end developers to redesign the platform and add the required features.
An intuitive dashboard shows customers a concise overview of all their sensors, messages, alarms, and warnings. Service companies can also use this dashboard to control the status of messages.
A customizable building map allows users to create a virtual representation of the sensors’ location and shows the status of each sensor. If status changes, the system will send the notification.
The platform also provides an interactive process of adding, moving, replacing or deleting a new sensor or gateway.
Sensor Innovation supports a complete hierarchy of users within the app: a super admin controls service companies, which in turn manage properties owned by customers.
Weather can affect sensors and that has to be accounted for. To keep data relevant, users can cross-check reports from sensors with historical weather data location first on the listing page.
Sensor Innovation received an online platform that was much better in every aspect compared to their old platform — from the streamlined UI and performance to additional features. The addition of a weather timeline decreases the number of false alarms, while the virtual building maps help to optimize coverage and find possible blind spots.
Relevant Software designed and developed a web-based platform. Functionalities included real-time data monitoring and alerts. The team created wireframes and did QA testing.
Relevant Software’s dedicated approach and clear communication made them a productive partner. They stayed within our budget and scope, and their deliverables met our expectations.
