Client & product

Bidly is a web app that connects landlords and tenants. It allows all real estate owners — whether they have one or more than a hundred homes — to easily place ads and manage rental income. Renters can quickly rent an apartment online and pay for it with ease.

Challenges

The major challenges by far were the broken project build and Docker setup, which made it so that we couldn’t even run the project locally in order to begin development. Once it was dealt with, we needed to connect an Angular front end with existing low-quality back-end code and refactor some of the existing front-end code.

Job done

Our front-end developer rebuilt the existing solution using trending material design elements. We also involved a back-end developer to investigate problems with configurations and simplify the project build. That helped us create a tutorial for project setup and configuration and provide a stable CI/CD pipeline.

Implemented features

1 (8)

Property management

Property owners can easily manage their property listings and quickly access information such as tenants’ phone numbers, email addresses, rental prices, and important documents.

2 (8)

Applications

Renters can apply through the online form and homeowners can accept or reject their applications.

3 (8)

Payment setup

Homeowners can determine the rent start and end dates, or payments can be recurring. They can also set a deposit amount.

Outcomes

The Bidly platform gained a fresh new look and build configuration to ease further development. Our client was satisfied with the services we provided and decided to work with us on the full-cycle development of another product.
